What is the effect of an electronic signature in DocuSign®?
When you sign via the DocuSign® platform, you receive a PDF document bearing your electronic signature. Each agreement is marked with a unique identifier, which can be found at the top of the document.
The contract is accompanied by a certificate confirming the validity of the electronic signatures with the identification data of the signer and the person sending the contract for signature. The PDF also comes with a graphic, recipient-friendly version of the signature.
In what situations can you use DocuSign®?
The DocuSign® platform can be used with contractors to sign B2B or B2C contracts. It also works well for employee contracts, as well as for approving internal documentation.
What can’t be signed by DocuSign®?
Through the DocuSign® platform, you cannot sign documents using a Trusted Profile (read more: Electronic Signature and Trusted Profile – what’s the difference?). It is also not possible to sign financial statements that require the XadES signature format.
Is DocuSign® compliant with eIDAS and RODO?
The DocuSign® platform is fully secure and compliant with European and Polish standards – both eIDAS and RODO. It is also the only electronic signature provider that is certified: ISO 27001; SSAE16, PCI DSS 2.0, TRUSTe, SafeHarbor, HIPPA.
