Need more details? Let's start from the beginning
On the surface, it may seem that DocuSign® and Autenti® are almost twin platforms. It's hard not to agree that their functionalities are very similar. However, after a deeper look at both tools, one can see quite a few differences, which can be crucial for many companies. What is the difference between Autenti® and DocuSign®?
How to sign the document?
Autenti®
- Signatures are made by affidavit.
- A signed document is a PDF file containing a certificate confirming the signature.
- It is not possible to add a graphic signature resembling a handwritten signature.
DocuSign®
- Signatures are made by making a statement and adding a graphic signature to the document that resembles a handwritten signature, making it clear at a glance who signed the contract.
- The signed document consists of two files. One is a PDF file with the contents of the document and graphic signatures. The other is a certificate with the signers' data and additional information, such as the date and time the document was sent, opened and signed, the type of signature and the IP address from which the signature was made.
How to prepare and send a document for signature?
Autenti®
- Multiple documents can be added to a single envelope, which the system combines into a single PDF file. The recipient signs the whole thing, with no option to split the document into parts.
- The person sending the document for signature does not indicate where the other party is to sign. Signatures are only visible on the certificate page.
DocuSign®
- Multiple documents can be added to a single envelope, but each is signed separately.
- The person sending the document can indicate the places where the recipient is to put his signature (a function analogous to self-adhesive sticky notes stuck to a paper document).
